Smiling Dogs

What about a half golden retriever/blue tick coonhound mix? My brother has one and we’re trying to figure out what to expect. So far both physically and mentally he seems to have taken all of the coonhound tbh. (Why does this feel like I’m asking a fortune teller?)

Hello friend! Sadly I am not a fortune teller and cannot tell you what future that pup has. The thing about mixes is that you have no idea what bits come from where. The best way to know what the…

Do you know if Bernese mountain dogs are high energy or not? Some places say they are and others say they aren’t and it’s just kinda confusing.

Hello friend! Bernese mountain dogs are strong, smart dogs capable of heavy duty work but they aren’t the sort of dog that ping from one end of a room to another. They don’t tend towards Britton energy or never ending…

not the same anon but your response to the anon that asked how to know when to give away your dog has helped me so much. ive been thinking about rehoming my dog for a long time now, depression sometimes gives us a hard time, but your answer has given me some confidence again, considering i walk my dog three times a day and i have fully figured out what food he can tolerate and i just love love him so much and we’ve got each other figured out and all that. just wanted to say thank you so much!

I barely manage one big walk a day and I rarely play with her. I feel that she is kinda happy, but she could be more happy… I don’t want to give her away to a stranger. I might be alright if a friend takes care of her but I’m so scared of what will happen to her or to me as soon as she is gone. Can you give me any advice?

First off I will start this off by saying rehoming is okay in any instance for any reason. If a dog isn’t wanted or cannot be cared for it is the BEST thing for them to find a different home.…

Do you or any of your followers have any experiences with both nova scotia duck tolling retrievers and brittanies? I am curious as to how they differ in temperament. They are both so pretty!

Hello!! While NSDTR and brittany spaniels are both gundogs, their purposes are pretty different (retrieving vs flushing, respectively) so I assume their personalities would be pretty different. Retrievers tend to be more biddable and work closer to their handlers, whereas…
