I have a seven year old Miniature Australian Shepherd I’ve had him since 12 weeks of age and he always becomes super excited after eating. He twirls, runs around the house, wiggles his bum, barks and runs to his toy box to give me a toy to throw. My only concern is, is it okay to play with him after he eats. I never have him over exert himself but I worry about bloat and stomach cramps. Is there anything you suggest or recommend. My dog and I would be very grateful😀

It’s great to be careful, but I don’t think you need to worry. As long as you aren’t feeding him too much at once, and he isn’t drinking excessively before playing. Dogs with deep chests like Dobermans, Standard Poodles, Great…

tbh I almost unfollowed after reading some later posts about pit bulls, after reading the original Q&A I can see how many things were taken out of context or even twisted. I believe breeding first and foremost determines the behavior of a dog, training is secondary. anyway just felt bad for feeling angry with you so writing to say sorry :P

Haha thank for reading! That’s usually the #1 issue I get whenever I post my opinion, or even just facts… People do not fully comprehend what I’m saying, or they just flat out didn’t read it and assume I said…

The very incorrect thought that they are "prone to aggression" is what made people rebel against them and treat them unfairly, which includes putting them to fight with each other, etc. Dogs are what you make of them, they are not born "prone to aggression" much like no one is born a violent human.

Ehh well pit bulls were never used as babysitters, the nanny dog thing is a myth. There was only one mention in history of nanny dogs, and that was in a book about Staffordshire Bull Terriers in 1971 describing their…

Hi there! I know you get tons of messages so it may be a while before you see this or respond but that is okay. I don’t have many passions in life but I really love animals so I want to have a job that lets me work with them. I was thinking of becoming a Dog/Pet Trainer and Groomer but even though I have researched different places that offer training programs near me (I live in KY) I am still really confused about how to become a trainer and groomer. Do you have any tips on where to go?

Stores like Petco & Petsmart have their own training programs and can get you started as both a trainer and a groomer. I do not have experience earning certificates via chain stores, but I do know they require you to…
