I always lose followers when people submit their dogs with their prong collars on, but whether it’s a choke collar, harness, gentle leader, martingale, or prong collar, as long as the dog looks happy and healthy there’s no reason to judge.
Everyone has their own training methods, and this picture does not show an abused dog. A picture that I recently rejected was one with a heavy chain and pad lock around the dogs neck… Now that says something about welfare, not a widely used training device.
I am not giving my opinion on training devices, but I do have my own standards when accepting submissions. I know a lot about dogs, dog behavior, dog body language, and dog training. There’s a difference between reading things on the Internet about stuff, than actually practicing it and learning about it everyday.
And PETA is not a good source…
