I first worked at a pet store, my small animal handling experience gained me a job as a receptionist at an ER vet clinic. I worked at the ER vet for about a year before I was trained as a veterinary assistant, then worked there for another 2 years savin animals. My lengthy experience there allowed me into a dog daycare setting, where I interacted with large playgroups of dogs. Due to my knowledge and comfortability around the dogs, I was able to move to a management position. I continue to work there now, and help with dog training as well.
My favorite part is, since I am the manager, I get to play with whomever I want when I want! I form great relationships with dogs that I take care of from puppy to adult. I literally have best friends that are dogs that have a mutual like for me – they’re excited to see me! 🙂
