Hi there! Liberty and Lyla here, we’re both rescue Pit Bulls that were given second chances at life.

Lyla (dark brown) – Mom rescued me from a lady that was underfeeding me, with cat food! She was about to take me to the pound when mom stepped in and saved me. I was only 6 weeks old!

Liberty (light brown) – I came in as a stray that had suffered recent abuse from the streets, and I have permanent scars around my neck from where my previous owners had kept me chained up. The shelter took me in, but because I was pregnant with 11 puppies, they decided I was too much work and put me on the euthanization list. Just hours before I was about to be put down, Paws in the City pulled me from the shelter and put me in a foster program where I gave birth to all of my puppies. Every one was adopted, but I didn’t find my forever home until about a year later, when mom came to save me. This picture is from my rescue / birthday party this year!
