- My dog is a terrible walker. As soon as we get out of sight of the house, he refuses to go any farther. He wasn’t always like this (he’s almost 10 now!) but it’s gotten worse with age and he’s overweight and needs his exercise. I’ve tried driving him to a neighborhood he’s not familiar with (he won’t leave sight of the car) and having a friend drop us off a few blocks away (he won’t leave the spot where we were dropped off). Any tips? PS. He hates parks.
