- I’ve heard mixed opinions and I’m wondering: are furminators bad for dogs like labradors? I know it’s horrible for dogs like poodles or Portuguese water dogs, but my lab sheds like crazy and it gets SO much hair. I use the furminator every 2-4 weeks and use the zoomgroom any other time. If it does damage the coat, what alternatives do you recommend? Specific products would be very helpful. Thanks!!
