- It’s not my intent to single anyone out (even though I am,) but you should make it a rule to not feed your dog bacon. Once or twice a month may not kill them, but regular feeding of high-fat, salty foods is the worst diet for your canine. Speaking as a former vet-tech, I’ve treated dozens of dogs with intense vomiting/diarrhea that was directly linked to foods such as pork. In cases where they regularly ate such kinds of food they developed pancreatitis. And fast. ESPECIALLY among small dogs.
