Hey, we all know the physical problems that can crop up with pugs, but what about behavioral issues? When training a pug, what are some things to focus on?

I believe potty training is the only difficulty you might have. As long as you actually train them early, they can do well with obedience. You just don’t want to treat them like a little baby or they’ll get little dog syndrome.

But I mean, the health issues are a lot heavier than the fact that they are trainable, great for families, and can be lazy or athletic. They would be a great little dog, but you really have to research and find someone that breeds for a longer snout and open nares.

You also have to worry about their eyes popping out. Literately. Popping out. You have to be careful not to squeeze them or pull on a collar. And you have to routinely clean their face wrinkles or they get infections.
