Bows for Noodle

I think most of you are familiar with Noodle, @huskyhuddle’s surprise addition to the family. For those of you who aren’t, Noodle was found by Stephanie, abandoned, and when the previous owners didn’t come forward, Stephanie adopted Noodle into their family.

Whoever had owned Noodle previously, did not care for her. She had not been given heartworm prevention, and as a result, Steph had to pour a lot of money into Noodle’s treatment. Because of Noodle’s ongoing health problems, she has been unable to enroll her in an insurance program, which means that whatever comes up, she has to pay for out of pocket.

Now, just after finally recovering from a long and expensive heartworm treatment, Noodle has gone in for emergency surgery because she has pyometra. It was caught in time, thankfully, but the surgery and treatment was incredibly expensive, and simply not something she can afford.

I think for all of us dog owners, it is our absolute worst nightmare. And I don’t know many people who would do half as much for a dog they found abandoned one night.

I have felt very helpless, watching this from the sidelines, knowing how I would feel if it happened to one of my dogs, and I came up with an idea, and after running it by Stephanie first, I’m posting it on here.

I recently made hair bows just for fun, which I then subjected my poor Daenerys to. She was a pretty good sport about it, even if the hair bows are technically designed for humans to wear.

I’ve decided to sell these hair bows, for $5.00 each, to give to Noodle for her surgery. I would still need to cover shipping costs at $2.50, so the total would be $7.50 per bow.

If anyone wants to help Noodle out, please e-mail me at lexiecocktail@gmail.com and I can send you a PayPal invoice for your bow. If anyone is concerned about the legitimacy, which I can fully understand, receipts and screenshots for the costs, and the amounts coming in and going out can be provided. I do not feel comfortable posting them here at this time, as I am simply doing this because I care about Steph and Noodle and it’s not my paperwork to post online.

This is important!

Noodle showed up one day at @huskyhuddle‘s door with no owner to be found. She took her in, only to find out she had heartworms! After a long, expensive course of treatment, Noodle was finally all better and ready to be apart of a great family. But now, she has had yet another bout of bad luck, and needed emergency surgery to remove her uterus. Any amount will help, and you get an adorable bow in return!
